Artists In Morning

by Craig Wardlaw - Not entered

The loneliness remains
Like a cathedral window ... it stains
That is the only line that survived

Once a poem or thought is lost the pain remains

Like a man who has lost a friend, I sit and just stare
what could have been a line of prose so beautiful
Will forever remain a memory of disgust
This is the down side of being an artist ... one of us

The four walls within and the four corners without
Both becon and shunn me
The words once stolen from the screen make fun of me

This used to be a poem so beautiful
its beauty was stolen before I could share it with the world
Anger has crowded the place where it was born---inspiration

I'm sorry ... for you all
we're all at a loss

Reason for writing:

I was inspired ... then technology robbed me of the most beautiful words i've ever written. An electronic bullet snuffed out a friend I'd just made.
