Dreaming Of The Impossible

by Chris Sheffler - Aries

How far should you reach for the distant star?
Where do dreams end and reality begins once more?
When will tomorrow’s first light be today’s goodnight?
Should she still be there one that I truly adore?
Is it right for me to dream of an angel that’s so out of reach,
or wish upon the first star I see tonight that she would be mine?
How can someone like me be with someone like you?
Why is this feeling I have for you impossible to define?
Could you even know that I felt this way for so very long?
Do I even stand a chance against anyone else that want you?
Is happiness a quality that we could share together tonight?
Are wishes really answered, do dreams really come true?
When you are everything I ever wanted in a friend, a love,
but I am nothing more then a simple grain of sand in the air,
will you hold me close and tell me that you are here to stay,
when everyone around me says that you would never care?
Can one person dream so high that it’s to far away to achieve?
Dreaming dreams that were broken down before their through?
Is it possible to accomplish this impossible dream of mine,
of one day finally saying that the one I love is truly and only you?

Reason for writing:

This is about a question that's been bothering me lately... Can you dream to high? (As in, is it possible to dream for something so large that it's impossible, even if it is possible, but not probable)
