You

by Matt Simpson - Not entered

Youe velvet eyes
like molten chocolate -
I want to drown.

Your hair of golden brown
so fine, strands drift loose
like a halo in the wind.

Your hands, fine fingers
slender and nimble
unlace my mind

Your sigh breathes onto my naked brain
makes nothing else matter
but to hear it again

I want to be closer to you,
to know more than friendship
terrified I'll lose even that.

Reason for writing:

I guess the reason I wrote this is fairly obvious. I started writing poetry when I realised that I couldn'r write music very well, but I wasn't bad at lyrics. And I ended up with this sort of thing. I posted it because I wanted to see what people thought. I'm going to put another of my favourites up as well.
