Wishes

by J. Sharp Cancer - Not entered

If wishes were clouds I would ride through the sky.
As fast as I could to your arms I would fly
We would talk, we would laugh, we would touch, and then
You would pull me real close hold me tight once again
But clouds are not wishes and I cannot fly
Clouds are just masses high up in the sky
They block out the sun or turn dark grey and rain
In my heart they're reflecting the undying pain
Of living without you forever apart
You were my life, my love, and as always, my heart!

Reason for writing:

The love of my life.
