Hellos From Strangers

by Jessica Bellini - Not entered

Between what we call perfection
And what we know of dignity
There's always something wrong
The strength that left us yesterday
Is clawing at revival
But already starts to settle
And never comes around
Why can't we lose that grinding depth
And bathe within simplicity
Of hellos from strangers
And let that start our day

Reason for writing:

People are so determined to make life hard and invent
complexities, that no one ever takes pleasure in simple
things, like getting hellos from strangers.
