To The Lady in My Life

by Jeff Bartl; Sagatarius - Not entered

I know we have our fights,
And times we disagree.
But even through it all,
I know you'll always love me.

I know I am not perfect,
And I make those simple mistakes.
I'm trying to show you I'll be there,
To take away your headaches.

If we lived in flawless world,
Then nothing would go wrong.
But we're living in reality,
And we need to get along.

There are goals that I have set,
Things for which I strive.
And when those goals are finally met,
It was you that was at my side.

Reason for writing:

I wrote this poem for my mom. I have about 25 poems that I have written about life, love, and friendship. I'm hoping someone will read this so I can be published later in life.
