Long Winter Night

by Stefanie*Libra* - Not entered

It's the middle of winter,
and we are stuck in our home.
A white blanket covers the ground,
there is three feet of snow.

The old brick fireplace burns
the wood from our tree.
I sit here cuddling
you gently.

We sit on the couch
our hands in one anothers.
I thank God
That we have each other.

I never want the snow
to stop it's fall.
I have him
so I have it all.

We talk of the future
and what it shall bring.
Then he pulls out a box
and hands me a ring.

I start to cry
I'm so happy
I can't believe
an angel loves me.

I am sitting here
holding him so tight
And I owe it all
to that long winter night.

Reason for writing:

I wrote this about me and my ex back in december!!
