Promise Me

by Stefanie*Libra* - Not entered

I can feel the pain
 and I sense death near
     Please don't cry honey
 and please don't fear.
     It wasn't your fault
it was the other guy
     We weren't drinking
so why must I die?
I should've had my seatbelt on
just like you
     Then maybe, just maybe,
 my life wouldn't be through.
If I wasn't going to heaven
I'd be in your arms
     But either way I'm safe
from all earths harms.
     You'll get over this,
promise me you will,
     You'll find relief from
 this awful way you feel.
     You'll find another girl
who will treat you right
I'm not out of your heart or mind
just out of sight.
     I'm going to
a much better place
     Where once again
you'll see my face
     So please promise me
and please don't cry
     I love you, honey,
and sweetheart goodbye.

Reason for writing:

    inspired by a dream
