Long Distance

by Lee (libra) - Not entered

A thousand million
silent seconds since
you said hello
stumbling over your
tumbling mumbles
spilling out
in awkward jumbles

i can hear you blushing
hear it in your
squirming murmurs
betraying the shouts inside
your head your
internal conflicts
i hear you blush

today you remembered
the taste of my lipstick
the bittersweet flavor
of warm crimson kisses
still clinging to your
dumb open mouth
the ever-lingering remnant
of whispered iloveyou's
and nevermores

and you so longed
to hear this voice,
this breath
to feel it on your cheek
you swallowed your pride
biting your tongue
choking on speech

this i know
a single word tells all
hello.

Reason for writing:

when he swallows his ego and calls you back first....
