A Windshield Still Away

by Chris McCool - Not entered

if you came along undying
I would deal no death for you
but move through all your beauty
on my lonesome ghostly trip
and as I left you I would wave
with a hand that once clasped yours
and as I left I would probably weep
for there might be no more to say
but I would have my long road ahead
and you would be like the most heavenly light

and in the stillness of my heart
I would sometimes see you flicker.
