Forbidden

by Hannah, Taurus - Not entered

I'm not allow to touch, but only to look.
Then, I'm not allowed to see, but only to feel.
Once you strip away that right, I'm done.
You've torn me down so low, I can't regain composure.
You've taken all I had, and thrown it all away.
You don't see things like I do.
You don't understand the things I do.
As if I understand you...
If I wanted to regain my sight, I could.
If I needed to feel to live, I would.
But for 15 years now, I've done fine without.
I realize all I've missed, living the way I have.
I want to feel what you do.
I want to look from your point of view.
I thrive to see the light the way you do.
But I guess I can't...
Because I've tried,
but always been forbidden...

Reason for writing:

High School is getting me down. My life has turned flips, and I can't seem to get a hold of myself. People tear me down, and it's hard for me to keep my life straight.
