And She Is Waiting

by Lonely Heart (Sagittarius) - Not entered

And she is waiting
holding her breath.
Pouring her tears in silence
through the darkness.
Hoping it is not too late.
Wishing he was not so far.
Dreaming he would let her love.

And she is waiting.
Sighing for the day,
the sunshine, the light.
Longing for that kiss
that never touched her lips.
Craving for that warmth
that never brushed her skin.

And she is waiting.
Praying to God
in silence, in the darkness.
With patience counting the hours
of never ending days.
With hope bearing her love
through a dusky world.

And she is waiting,
hoping and praying.
And she is loving,
laughing and weeping.
And she is dreaming,
loving and waiting.
