Fool's Game

by Megan Bailey*virgo - Not entered

I thought we were friends,
I must of thought wrong,
Because you played me
Like a deck of cards.
I was not special,
You passed me around
Treated me like a gourmet feast,
To be shared with all your friends.
You did not realize with every bite
Of me you ate,
You swallowed
My soul.
I thought you cared.
Apparently I was only,
Only - a toy.
To be shared with many.
Never truely loved,
Not special.
Not even a friend.
Just a toy.
I was wrong to have trusted,
Wrong to have cared,
I tought if I only,
I let you do your heart's foolish desires,
You would eventualy,
Come to love me.
But please forgive me.
I was only young,
Young and naive.
