Ink

by emily surthesh - Not entered

Ink

you drew
upon my ankle
a small tattoo
of a woman
who had a heart in her arms

and told me
that it meant so much to you
and I lay down
and you stroked my hair

my tattoo is fading
and I havent seen you in awhile
but inside that woman is as strong as ever
keeping the love in her arms alive

i walked out yesterday night
and interrupted a starry illusion
i wished you were there
to see the stars

so bring your ink
and bring me your love
and together we'll keep the woman alive
a heart in her arms
