Threshold

by Steve - Not entered

What hatred breeds
And violence stirs
That anger boils
Upon the fulcrom of blood
Spilled amongst the worthless
Rotting down beneath the street
And I taste the sweat upon my brow
Stab down the fatal blade
And as the cries of widespread horror
Ring out in wounded pain
Adrenaline crash and rage runs fluid
I strike again with clenched teeth
For my blistering patience
Snapped off above my head
Let loose the beast's carnivorous growl
To feed its raw and cancerous thirst
Blood wrong but relieving
And as the last breath screams
And the worthless die
I need to chew much more
But I have felt this deed
Bleeding black, myself thus slain
My war, which long since losing
Was lost, with the falling of my hand
I must escape...

Reason for writing:

I was very angry and fed up with what was around me.
