The Civil War

by Peter Wong - Not entered

Robert E. Lee and the North.
Starting a war though North to South.
It is a war of independence.
It is a war of justice to all people.
It is the first modern war.
It is the civil war.
I hear people's cries.
I see blood and tears.
I sense the smell of death.
I pray that this bloody war end.
I pray for all the poor souls of the war.

Reason for writing:

To reflect on the impact of the American Civil War
