I'm broken hearted That's how you've left me And now that we've parted I hope you can see You hurt me much more Than I let on You tore to shreds My heart's fragile bond. You were so sweet to me You led me along You held the key You knew your actions were wrong But you still did not tell That it was all a lie You allowed me to fall For you by and by. When you finally said You did not feel the same I at first wished you dead For the evil game That you played with my heart I just couldn't believe That someone so sweet Could do something so mean. I pray you know What you did was not right And I pray you go Without a restful night Thinking of the pain You caused me to feel Knowing that you Made my nightmares real.
