i keep waiting for you to fade.
to hear a song and not think of you.
to hear someone say your name and not find myself eavesdropping in on your latest escapades.
i keep waiting to close my eyes and not dream of you.
to wake up in the morning and not care.
to not hate the girls you now choose to love,
or envy anyone that might get to have some sort of contact with you.
i keep waiting ever so patiently to forget you.
and i'll keep waiting until the day i die.
