I smile down at you, a tear slides down my face. There is nothing that the doctors can do, so you decided to die with grace. For awhile now, you've not been at your best, but it is just too sudden, I cannot let you go for your final rest, I want to hear you say 'I love you' again. You look up and smile, tears gather in your eyes, I know it won't be awhile, until you say your final goodbye. You slowly reach towards me, and whisper in my ear, 'I never thought it'd be, but you gave me my happiest years. It was God who put us together, and God who pulls us apart, Remember I'll be here, through any weather, you just have to reach into your heart.' You close your eyes forever more, I hold you so close and tight, my heart doesn't know what to do- it's tore, since I know now you gave up the fight. I cry for you so many tears, but then realize you look so peaceful. I thank God as I look back on the years, but question about why life is so cruel. But I know I'll see you again, I'll tell you I love you so much, I'll see you when God calls us to heaven, and once again I'll feel your touch.
