A Love Again Wanted

by Bill - Not entered

I pray each day to keep us safe
And build back again our love and faith
With each passing hour of every new day
I wonder if love, this time will stay

Please let down those walls that once kept love out
No more hiding from feelings, no more dwelling on doubt
What scares me the most with these feelings awakened
Can I win back the love another has taken

All the chains have been broken, all the locks have their key
All the doors are now open for your heart to fly free
No more words of committment or tying hearts down
Love has to be given free and unbound

As the sun sets each day and I lie down to sleep
I'll long for this love and try not to weep
But if tears do come out as they often will do
Don't worry, just listen they say I love you.
