Shifting Gears

by Sharon Chester - Gemini

fingers and tongues and skin
and hair and hazy moonlight
filtering through the windows
and that DAMN gearshift
ankles bound by jeans and shoes
and seatbelts wrapped
around a wrist -- impromptu
shackle
lips folding over whatever makes
the other moan most
and limbs thrown about
carelessly wherever they will fit
change falling and jewelry
clanking and the keys
(still in the ignition)
jangling every time we
bump and shimmy
in that direction
sweat and cum and spit
and sliding over flesh
and easing into each other
and every time I move to the left
I hit the same spot on the steering wheel.
