To my Friend, Jesse

by Scott Scheel - Not entered

When I found out that you had died…
My head fell to my feet, and for hours, I cried.

You died before we got into the fourth grade.
When I heard, my heart stopped, like stabbed by a blade.

You don’t know how I felt that day,
All I did was pray and pray.

I was on vacation when you died,
I couldn’t hide what I felt inside.

Jesse, We all will miss you very much;
To us all, you meant so much.

You came over every night to see if I could play;
I would always say, “Maybe another day”.

Now I wish I would have said “Sure”,
Then maybe the pain, I could endure.

I guess It’s too late for that all,
When I die, I hope you will give me a call.

But, in the mean time, could you please,
Be my guardian angle, please..

Reason for writing:

    The reason i wrote this poem is because i miss my best friend Jesse. He was one of my nicest friends in the world and then the world took him away from me. The police cought the man who killed him and sentenenced him to life in prison without parol. I think he should be on death row. He was the nicest kid you could met and he killed him. Now for those who have had this happen to them keep praying. They can hear you!
