If Only

by Brad Gray - Not entered

At a party
A gathering of friends
But hiding within
Glowing in the moonlight
The enemy awaits
He eyes his vicitim
Hormones
Adrenaline
They take over
He asks to talk
She sees no harm
He leads her to a room
The door is locked
No escape
A smile crosses his face
He has all the power
He climbs upon her
Ignoring her cries
Her muffled cries
He forces his will upon her
He enjoys the feeling
The feeling of having all the power
It excites him
A perverted, twisted excitement
When he is satisfied
He leaves
Locking his victim away
Why?
Perhaps saving her for later
For another
People see him leave
A twisted smile on his face
But nobody knows
She keeps her silence
It deafens her
Her enemy escapes
Unharmed
Happy
Pleased with himself
The truth is hidden
For it to be revealed
Shame
Worthlessness
Perhaps an easy target
She finds friends who will support her
But the shame stops her
She tries to deal with it alone
Given, those that care, one not yet familiar
But cares all the same
Always there
If only she knew
If only she knew I knew
If only she knew I cared
If only she knew I felt her pain
If only it hadn't happened
If only life was fair
If only......

Reason for writing:

Cause I say what I feel
