Win Your Game

by Kristine Mangosing - Not entered

Muffling the silent voice screaming inside my head
tempted to call out your name,
Turning myself inside out
trying to win your game.
Searching your eyes for a flicker of hope
to add fuel to this fire
Seeking the solace of your warm embrace
to quench my burning desire.
Only you can stop this turmoil
seething inside of me,
Threatening to explode
as it rages on so vehemently.
Wanting you so bad it hurts
longing for you with urgent need
Weak and helpless in your grip I remain,
overcome with selfish greed.

Reason for writing:

Lovingly inspired by the insanity caused by people who insist on playing hard to get. Y'know, when you know and they know that they want you just as much as you want them but refuse to give in.
