summer girl

by Peter - Not entered

think of me
think of me kindly
or in any way at all

think of me
think of how we used to be
as the hours melted quietly

oh, i can't count
all the ways you make me feel inside
sickly sweet, deliciously discreet
like snow falling
in june

think of me
i haven't changed
think of me
i haven't stayed the same

you were my summer girl
my snow in summer girl
not nearly as strange
but just as maddeningly, deliriously and unforgettably pretty
and just like snow in summer, girl
you were gone away
so far away
long before i had a chance to catch you

Reason for writing:

this one is pretty self-explanatory i think. It's sort of about one person in particular, but i tried not to personalize it so much. funny how certain people get in your head anyway....
