Belief In Reality

by Chris Sheffler - Aries

By the call of the silvery moon,
I am one with myself,
but by the howl of the ghastly pang,
I am myself no longer,
when I wake from this daydream,
and return unto my nightmare,
I shall then,
and only then,
know the true meaning of dispair,
for I've seen pain and torment,
felt it build deep inside of me,
but neer have I witnessed such agony,
such horror,
that I've now seen...

How can you believe in a world,
built out of total disregaurd for yourselves,
and carry the flag of genocide,
across the graves of your fallen fathers?

Through the silken sheets,
that you've surrounded your lives within,
by morning's light,
they shall be no more then satin gowns for your slaves...

Hold me captive,
nevermore,
for I am free and was never yours,
so how does it feel,
to be the one dressed in black this time around,
shrouding your eyes,
freezing your heart,
tearing at your soul?

And you thought you could see the sky of velvet gold,
and ruby shards,
so tell me my friend,
how does it feel to be no more once again?
