Dreams

Dreams

I see the world around me,
people swaying from side to side,
cars, trucks, and ships out to sea,
almost hypnotizing me.

I wonder, Is it really all there?
Is this real, is this all I can see,
or is there something else,
Is this a continuous dream?

Yes a Dream! I shout,
into the darkness of the night,
waiting for a response,
but no one hears my cries.

I fall to my knees, wondering,
wondering why I can’t see,
the darkness blinding me,
In this continuous dream.

What is life, my life I wondered,
staring into the glistening stars,
everything always stays the same,
without change, so far.

I continue my day,
to try to change it all,
to find to my dismay,
nothing ever changes at all.

I weep and cry into the moonlit night,
crying and crying until there is nothing left,
nothing to cry about nothing to do,
then I awake, from my continuous dream.
