Rebirth Beyond the shadows of darkness, deep in the stillness of our minds,, is a cold, begotten place. Where the hunted may hide. Go deep into the darkness sweet child of the night, And see where the treads of evil lie. Watch a man all tattered and torn as he sews us all together Each stitch filled with hatred and scorn. Now go further amongst the dusty, hallow graves And go to that man, he waits for you, do not be afraid. Run into his arms as they open wide, Feel his enchanting embrace and let him inside. Let him explore your heart and your soul, Let him devour your feelings of eternal sadness, take the pain away and make you whole. Don't stop there, let him enter your mind. Let him wither away at memories you have long left behind. Let him live your life as you did years before, As he sifts through images behind each new door. He tears through the good and the bad just the same Discarding each moment leaving nothing to remain As he draws out your life, little by little, You begin to feel reborn, ready to live again, to once more explore life's intricate riddles. As you break away from his strong wielding hold, You slide out of the darkness and back out into the cold. Ready to start again Ready to rebuild your forgotten soul.
