Out

by Brad Gray - Not entered

How does it feel
To be on the outside
Of everything
To be hated
By the guys for
Not drinking or smoking
And the girls
For not looking like
Leonardo DiCaprio
Even the girls now
Frown upon
Those that act sensible

To be left out
Of parties, gatherings
And outings
To them
I'm boring
To me
I'm sensible
Unfortunatly
There is no middle ground
You are either on one side
Or the other
There is no compromise

This is
The youth of today
Bent against one another
In the race for
Social acceptance
Me?
I'm stuck at the starting gates

Reason for writing:

I had to write a poem about discrimination for English so I wrote one based on me.
