A love Only He Could See

by brando31 - Not entered

He stands at his locker,
Watching her walk past,
And wonders to himself
Why it couldn’t last.

A mere infatuation
Was how it began;
Now he only wishes
They could be friends again.

He begins to recall,
With the greatest of ease,
Times that they shared,
A love only he could see.

Visions of dancing sparks
And of a dazzling moonlight;
The only love he ever knew
Was out of reach, but within his sight.

As she walked by,
Not noticing him at all,
One faint tear,
Began to fall.

And although he knows
She will never see,
A dim light in his heart
Knew that it was meant to be.

And as she turned the corner,
Her beautiful image gone-
He repeats the teasing question,
“Where did we go wrong?”

He recalled a little tune,
A story of agony it did tell;
And as her shaded faded,
He waited for the bell.

Reason for writing:

    lost love.  simple as that.
