Staring at the stars, I see your eyes. Glittering, shining, Just like you. Looking at me, In a way I wish you would. Never moving, Always constant. I see the moon, It’s amazing glow Overpowers the night. Just as your beautiful face does. The glowing fire, Emitting it’s flame. A flame that soon burns out. But I wish our love to be An eternal flame. The wind blows gently, Through trees and bush. A whisper, soft and elegant. Like the one I long to hear from you. The night, itself a loner. Moves in mysterious ways. But it always seems to protect. Just as I wish you would. Daylight comes. Light breaks the dark. Allows no secrets. Someday, I’ll be that light. I’ll tell all. Wishing you’ll feel the same. But for now, I lay in solitude. Wishing in the night.
