He runs from her as she runs to him They come to the same place they often begin She kisses him, he pushes her, and kisses the air Thinking her memory will be as good as her there They bump into one another and cast it aside For they have failed every time they have tried Hearts are empty and time is long Yet their bodies stay happy and strong There is a need in her so great inside But he says that her emotions have always lied They are not true, he says and sneers Mocks the very feelings she has felt for years Her body feels small as he looks down over her Smelling her hair and eyeing the beauty of her She feels the love for him in this time of pain It causes hurt in her heart, soul, and brain But she drudges on and walks away Only to return again the next day As they look for meaning in life they had before They have tried opening door after door And they know they have to come back every day To glare at the one that made them this way And wish for once to make the magic come into the light Or at least get the the pain out of mind and out of sight
Reason for writing:
My boyfriend of two years broke up with me for no reason and we are both very hurt. We can't get back what we used to have, but we can't deny it was a big part of our lives.
