The Artist In Me

by Megan Aries - Not entered

I was sitting in my studio today
thinking, watching my wheel go
round and round, looking at the saucer
I made to go with the delicate
teacup I threw for you.
I wonder, has anyone ever made
anything for you? Besides me.
Has anyone ever taken their hands
and formed something while
thinking of you? Other than me?
Did you ever think of that?
You left me with my teacup
and saucer, but thats okay
because I will live without you.
And live well.

Reason for writing:

I am a ceramics major at Tulane, and this is how I felt in my studio today. Thanks to you for making this poem happen! You know!!!!
