Although we are miles apart, I can always feel you near. Call it matters of the heart, That keeps you close my dear. Although I've never seen your face, Or felt your tender skin. It's thru your words I embrace, The beauty from within. Although every night I close my eyes, It's amazing what I see. After waking up I realize, You had been lying there with me. Although I still can feel you near, As I lie there I get a chill. I know that you were here, Was it a dream or was it real? Although we all have our dreams, Some of which may not come true. But in my heart and soul it seems, I have found my dream in you........
Reason for writing:
This poem is dedicated to Barry, the one person who has touched my heart as no man ever has. I haven't attempted poetry since high school, yet I wanted to do something special for him, and this is a gift to him from me that hopefully he will cherish forever. Barry is my inspiration.....
