Hanging On Calvary

by GloryStar- Scorpio - Not entered

Into the blinding Light I stare
Over the Horizon, Going no-where
Arms Strecthed Wide Out On The Cross
Our savior died and our sins were lost

With our burdens on his back
He set us free
With Nails in his hands
Hangin on Calvary

The pain he felt
We cannot feel
The tears streaming down
Atop that darkened hill

A whip lashing at his Flesh
This awful pain he endured
He stood true to his word
And for his pain we are sured

Betrayed by those he loved
He was ridiculed so
For 30 silvers pieces
His life was sold

He hung on the cross
With is crime above his head
He said “It is finished”
Then he was dead

3” thorns pressed into his skull
A robe thrown acrss his back
A stick was placed in his hands
Eternal life we no longer lack

With the cross on his back
He started the long journey
His weakened body crumbled
He died for you and me
He died for you and me
Just Hangin Out on Calvary..............
