Skeleton Feathers

by Jacqueline G. D'Amato/Saggitarius - Not entered

Skeleton feathers as frail as the hopes
Of those weary with despair.
Skeleton feathers as light as the tiny fetus
that sits in mother's womb.
Skeleton feathers bleached white with the days
Of shelter from the sun.
Skeleton feathers fall ever so lightly to the earth
As no one notices their sound.

Reason for writing:

This was another poem on a whim. i wrote the phrase into another work and decided i should at least vaguely define it.
