To Have a Friend

by Sharon - Sag - Not entered

The friendship that I've found in you
Has truly meant so much.
You make me feel as if I'm loved
Without a single touch.

Your ableness to make me laugh,
I think it is innate,
Is one thing that I treasure most.
To simply put -- It's great.

You bring out all my good aspects -
What others cannot see.
Accept me for what they do not -
The true and honest me.

They say they are too busy,
That they've not got the time
To know the thoughts that lurk about
And boggle up my mind.

And though I've still got many thoughts
That I have yet to share,
At least I know I'll be able,
For I've a friend that cares.

Reason for writing:

One thing that all of mankind has in common is the need and want of a true friend.
