killing me softly

by crystal tears - Not entered

this heart's confused,
its veins, arteries are
tangled.
i thought you would
extricate so i could
live again.
you've just tangled
tighter and harder, now,
i die in your arms.
this pillow you
stuff in my vulnerable face is
killing me softly.
do you not hear me screaming quietly
free me.

i spin aroung to
stare eye to eye
unexpectedly
out of the dark from
the looming shadows
you face.

invisible chains you have
locked me in.
give me the key,
release me release me
free me.
can you not see these
bars you've trapped me in?
i'm not your
new puppy needing
to be trained.
i'm housebroken
i am heartbroken too
i thought you'd be the one
the one i'd
give me to.
