You don't have to wear ribbons in your hair to impress me, the way you stand does enough already. I wonder where you are tonight, and how things look through your eyes. I wish I could stop by your house on the way home from work, to share a bottle of Merlot and talk. Talk about anything, my art, your songs, our love for the pen. Just to be near you, to see me in your eyes, that would be enough. I cried today for the first time in months, I've been holding back. My favorite Mazzy Star song came on, and I wept. I wept for you, I wept for me, I wept for us. To sit down by my desk, peel off my clothes, put on my P.J.'s, and read you, that made everything okay, you made everything okay. We are looking at the same stars tonight, my dear godsend. We are one. Sweet Girl, I miss you like I miss myself.
