The Moon Speaks

by brando31 - Not entered

As I lay in solitude one night,
I glance upon the moon.
My life's been full of pain,
I only wish it to end soon.

I reflect upon loves lost,
I begin to wonder why.
I feel complete, yet empty,
If only I could die...

The pain of the past,
Regains it's place in memory.
Tears slowly begin to fall,
True love I'll never see.

Then a voice called from above,
I quickly opened my eyes.
This is the Moon. it began to shout,
I heard with utter surprise.

Oh Moon, I begin to ask.
Why have I not seen your light?
Why can't someone love me?
Why am I alone with fright?

The Moon looks at me,
A twinkle in his eyes.
I have shed my light on many a romance,
And I know that someday you'll get your chance.
Just put yor trust in Him,
And our Maker will guide you through.

But Moon, whatsoever do you mean?
My life is a living hell. I only want to scream!

The Moon then said to me,
Love the Lord with all your heart,
Let Him rule your life.
Always know He has plans for you,
With Him you'll know what to do.

The Moon then left my presence,
Leaving me basking in his glow.
But the moon, he opened my eyes,
And now a deeper love I know.

I've put my faith in God,
And now I live for Him.
There's nothing more joyous to me,
Than escaping that life of sin.

I accept God's Will for my life,
And I know that He knows best.
He will someday lead me to that girl,
Who will put my pain to rest.

So I look again to the sky,
Thanking the Moon so bright.
He revealed to me all I needed to know,
And now I'm in God's Holy Sight.

Reason for writing:

I realize that God is all I need to be happy. Without Him life is pointless. I know that he will reveal His will to me someday and I will find someone who cares for me...
