War War

War war, a terrible thing,
Something no one wants to bring.
Blood and bones and lots of meat,
But not the sound of a single heart beat.

Since there is no one that wants to bond,
Lots of people and things are gone.
Not much love but lots of hate,
this all started as just a little debate.
I know it brings the population down,
But it's not worth blowing people to the ground.

This is something no one really can bare,
As others laugh and not even care.
Many people have good hearts,
But still have fights they want to start.

Everything has to do with the government,
But it all crashes down on the innocent.
Everyone knows that it is wrong,
But the fights just go on and on.

So have a heart and please don't hurt,
Because it's not worth throwing people in the dirt.

Reason for writing:

Well there was a contest at my school and I was to enter this poem.
Then a friend of mine said that when her mother sent a poem of hers into a different contest, it was put in a book; and that is what I want to do with my poem.
