Ether's Eye

by Niuka....Capricorn - Not entered

ETHER’S EYE

Silver moon smiles
carrying a seed
of fushia,
an oval for the eye
that seeks spirit.

Alone but involved,
fighting togetherness
so unfamiliar.

Crash helmet
protects,
with all its shiny black,
the opening,
vulnerability.

I see you
in the back of my mind,
wherever that exists..
perhaps in another time,
but not here now.

I know
only ether’s eye
shining
in the cosmic glow
of emptiness.
I know it good....without fear;
only discomfort.

You bicycle away
when the dormer
invites you to shelter.
I sigh,
finally One with my breath.

How do I invite you?
I know. I don’t.
I wait, and watch
and cry,
as I behold
ether’s eye.

Reason for writing:

The poem emerged from some deep emotion that had been newly released after a talk with my beloved companion......attempts to channel the feelings into words.
