Double-Talk--The Art of Politics

by EVE--pisces - Not entered

Honest Deception's
a Barren Conception
of one's own Blatant Modesty.

Purpose is Useless
if Bountifully Fruitless
when Reason is laced with Travesty.

Triumphantly Failing
brings Chaotic Order,
Hurtfully Healing
Philanthropy's Hoarder,
and All Everything's Missing
if Deaf ears aren't Listening
to Peace as it fires its Mortar.

and Blind eyes aren't Seeing
the Blackness of Being
in Shadows of life's Empty corridor.

Keepsakes are Traded
and Lovingly Hated
by Millions of Children Unborn.

Mode is Outdated
and Help goes Unaided
as Hope Mingles Purely with Scorn.

Cold is the Fire
of Empty Desire
Stoked by a lifelong Neglect.

by Silently Saying
New Life is Decaying
one builds a Facade or Respect.

They Give In to Victory
Knowing full-well Truth's Trickery,
as All Mutineers heed the Call.

for all the Dead horses Dance
and Paralyzed Legs Dance
as an Army of One defeats All.

Triumphantly Failing
brings Chaotic Order,
Hurtfully Healing
Philanthropy's Hoarder.

and All Everything's Missing
if Deaf ears aren't Listening
to Peace as it fires its Mortar

and Blind eyes aren't Seeing
the Blackness of Being
in Shadows of life's Empty corridor

Reason for writing:

This poem I wrote while traveling across the US. I learned a lot that year about people. I learned that every one of us is our own politician. We all have our agendas and issues, and we all want to seem just as credible as the next person, so that we might have help in attaining these goals. This is not unlike the way a politician is elected to represent us in the US. Unfortunately, they may not actually intend on keeping their campaign promises, and when they are asked by the public that elected them why they are not adhearing to their own agenda, they may talk alot, but they don't usually have much to say. In other words, DOUBLE-TALK as I said; the art of politics.
