Not This Time

by Melanie Vanhielkemavlieg - Not entered

You lied to me.
You looked me in the eye.
And you lied to me.

You said it over and over,
trying to convice me,
But I already knew.

I saw you that night,
The night you lied about,
I saw you there.

You said you loved me.
And the way you said it...
And the way you looked at me...

But I saw you,
With all the lights and music,
I saw you.

Our song playing,
You kissed her,
I watched you break my heart.

I watched what we had,
just slip a way...
I watched you break my heart.

Just like all the others,
You play mind games,
Tricking me into your web.

But Iwatched this time,
Before you could win,
I saw it first.

I watched you kiss her,
I saw your games,
I heard your lies.

Now watch me walk away.

Reason for writing:

    Just felt like it
