old man

by kelli bircket (Aries) - Not entered

old man, i wonder who you are.
the moon so full and bright's the star.
you sit there, silent, looking down.
what's that that you're writing down?
a love poem, or a little note?
i caught a glimps of what you wrote.
on a paper full of coffee stains,
you wrote of sorrows, you wrote of pains.
and then you left, without a word.
just like a dream, is that absurd?
still, you haunt me day and night,
your words you wrote in the moonlight.
the moon was full and bright's the star.
i wonder old man, just who you are.
