Fury: Epilogue

Fury: Epilogue

As I walked down from the blood and gore
My strength draining down through the floor
I realize there is but one thing left undone.

Before I die from the mortal wound
And lay me down to be entombed
I have one task that's just begun

Amongst the hardware, flamers, and swords
Down through dungeons, through dead hordes
Searching in every door and hall

To stop this demon from coming back
And make sure no one else he attack
I have to destroy each and all

At last I find what I have sought
The source of power from which he wrought
His evil trough of hate and lust and greed

I block the safeties and reroute the flow
Soon, so soon, the power will blow
A mile wide crater to replace this deed

The turbines whine higher and louder
Dust comes down like talcum powder
As I find a place to sit

I lean my back against a wall
And see you coming down the hall
My feelings stir a bit

You walk to me, and look around
Realizing the meaning of the sound
As the turbines start to shake

You're still covered in drying blood
You reach your hand, I doubt I should
But you're crying, that I can't take

You pull me up and hold me tight
And tell me all he did, in fright
Of how he found the spell

How when I killed him finally dead
The spell was broke, his power fled
And released you from your Hell

The feedback squeal from the power grid
Signaled time was short, and glad it did
As we held each other close at last

We kissed and merged our souls again
Becoming one person, not woman and man
Not caring when came the blast

Reason for writing:

I witnessed a 'fight' between a very good friend and another at an online forum, and took the frustration and other surrounding emotions and put them here... Made for an interesting blend...Let me know what you think!!! ALL comments (including flames!) appreciated!! Max
