The Room

by Dumpy Leo - Not entered

The flowers stood unwatered in the vase
Sun shined through the cracked glass of the window
Casting a jigsaw design upon the dirty floor
This room that once was cozy and warm
Now only bears memories of the way it once was
Many happy and joyful days to say the least
Have disappeared as thou devoured by a beast
As I catch sight of the old rocking chair
Can't remember the last time I saw her sitting there
This room will never ever be the same
Without my Grandmother there to call my name

Reason for writing:

Wrote this in memory of my Grandmother who passed and I was
real close to her.
