A little advice

by Bill - Not entered

A little advice

Love's not said in words
It's not bought or sold
Often hidden away
but it never grows old

It weathers the storms
without saying goodbye
This comes from these feelings
and won't let true hearts lie

It gives without getting
and suffers these pains
Love's hard on a heart
without comfort or gain

We can't always see
the love that surrounds us
Sometimes it's too late
and we suffer our sadness

As each day slowly passes
with it's good and it's bad
That glimmer of love's hope
helps make the heart glad

When so much of our past
is a reminder of sorrow
It makes it hard to show love
and a faith in tomorrow

No matter what happens
to give up and not try
Would be cheating your feelings
and help the soul die

For true love won't expire
though it may hide from life's grief
It is constantly building
on it's faith and belief

Make every day count
and do all that it takes
Risking all of our love
is what happiness takes

Expressing love to another
is what sets our souls free
Be patient and wait
And hope one day they'll see
