-Silence

by Eressea - Sagittarius - Not entered

Drinking the gall of selfish lies
watching her leave without goodbyes
crushing the love beneath the feet
that left me standing in the sleet
of frozen tears and eulogies
empty words and lockless keys
I drink the gall in hope of wine
I take the stab as if it's mine
in hopes that when I taste the truth
it will slay not my tired youth

Reason for writing:

The loss of the bird which once flew near.
