Friends.... Are not found so easily. Some will come and continue to go, but there is one I can see who is the best of all to know. She seems to understand by looking through my eyes. Even when I believe she can't, I am surprised! Just when I feel I've failed so, she helps me see reasons to believe. In her path I follow to find the friend she sees in me. I can expect honesty in all the advice I come to request. And if it would somehow hurt me, her support is still the best. I wasn't sure about her at first. Thinking I would let her down, I feared the worst. Now I realize -- to disappoint her, I never could. I would do anything for her because I love her so. She's the greatest I've discovered, she is my hero. Friends.... Are sometimes hard to keep. Some will come and continue to be like the one that I can see, she's my friend -- Jodi! Reason for writing:
It took me a long time to find a friend that really likes me for who I am. So many people are only fair weather friends. I am at a time in my life when I have found those who take you as you are, faults & all. I wrote this poem for my friend, Jodi, who is exactly what a real friend should be!
